What did you get for Christmas?

I hope everyone in our communities has had a wonderful Christmas!  These are times of economic downturn and perhaps many had less gift giving than before.  If you received even one Christmas gift you are more blessed than most of the world.  We are a blessed people because we have the knowledge of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.  I heard the statistic lately that 50% of the world’s population lives in Asia and that only 10% know about Jesus.

The greatest gift was given about 2000 years ago.  This gift has your name on it as John 3:16 reads: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  “Whoever” means you!

When you open this gift you will find riches beyond compare.  The forgiveness of sins, power to life right, act right, do right and have joy and peace as you walk with Him.

If you had a friend who was the wealthiest person in the world and he sent you a gift, but you never even opened it or even inquired about it, you would to say the least-be ungrateful.   

Have you opened this Christmas gift from God the Father?  He loves you.  It’s the greatest gift from the most generous giver ever.  If you neglect to open this gift, you are missing the true meaning of Christmas and rejecting the greatest gift ever given.  Receive Him today!
