True Meaning of Christmas

How wonderful to celebrate Christmas.  What are we celebrating when we celebrate on the 25th of December?  It would seem to any uninformed observer that the big thing is decorations, shopping for gifts presents and to the millions of students—a full week of vacation.  The religious significance is beyond exhaustion.  The meaning is infinitely more important than all the beautiful lights, job creating, commercializing, gifting and good will that is shone, yes, infinitely more that the millions of dollars of profit to be made.

Christmas is the celebration of The Son of God, leaving heaven for over 33 years to become a fetus, a baby, a child, a youth, an adult, and live a perfect life as fully human and fully the divine Son of God.  Before He came as a baby, He actually planned to come this way.  The Holy Bible tells us that He is eternal—never had a beginning.  We celebrate that He who created us, became one of us, yet without the nature of sin that we all were born with.  He was miraculously born without an earthly father.  Mary is the only one who bore a child without sexual intercourse.  Joseph was not the generating father, but God, who created mankind out of the dust of the ground, caused her seed to produce the body for the Son of God.—Jesus.  He was born to die for all. He rose again and is alive today proving forever that He is the Son of God, and able to save from sin, death and hell all who believe in Him.
“..If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Rom. 10:9 NLT).
