Perilous Times |

God’s Holy Book the Bible tells us
in 2 Timothy 3:1-5
But
know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
For
men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud,
blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without
self-control, brutal, despisers of good,
traitors, headstrong,
haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of
godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

As we see
unrest in our world, governments and men’s plans crumbling in the Middle
East, world economies on the verge of bankruptcy, our own United States
so deep in debt that it is nearly impossible to turn around without
great sacrifice and pain, and the rise of destructive false religion
that demands your conversion or they kill you, I am reminded of the
great shaking that is predicted by the Hebrew writer. He states that
God’s voice through Moses shook the earth when the Ten Commandments were
given and no one who refused His words could escape judgment. |

The next verses in
Hebrews 12 state that God’s voice from heaven will speak
and shake all that is shakable. These things are the evil and transient
things of this earth. They will be removed by fire and God’s New
Unshakable Kingdom will last forever. All who refuse Christ will perish
but those who believe on Him will have eternal life. When will this
happen? I don’t know, but it is closer than it has ever been. These are
perilous times. There is only one way to be saved from judgment and
hell. It is through surrender to and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
God declares this in His Holy Bible. Seek and find Him today! |
