Mother’s Day

This Sunday is a very special day.  Each Mother’s Day I try to lift up the great power and influence of mothers. It can be for good or ill.  If your mother is living, I urge you to give her honor.  The Fifth Commandment of the ten is to honor your father and mother that your days may be long…, and it doesn’t come with conditions if she was the greatest or not, or if she is still alive or not.  the commandment is to give her honor.

The biggest job in world is to raise children. The feminist have it all wrong.  The greatest thing in the world is not the prestige and power of position and wealth and power, but to develop the character of children.  It is to love and to lead a child to serve the Lord.  They will stand and bless her.  She gives us hope for the future.  It has to be nurtured and developed with each generation.

Here are a few quotes that have a big message

When the will of Henry J. Heinz, wealthy distributor of the famous "57 Varieties" line, was read, it was found to contain the following confession:

"Looking forward to the time when my earthly career will end, I desire to set forth at the very beginning of this will, as the most important item in it, a confession of my faith in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I also desire to bear witness to the fact that throughout my life, in which there were unusual joys and sorrows, I have been wonderfully sustained by my faith in God through Jesus Christ. This legacy was left me by my consecrated mother, a woman of strong faith, and to it I attribute any success I have attained.”

Have a happy Mother’s Day.  God bless our mothers!
